Inspired by the success of the V12 clarinet reeds, Vandoren brought its characteristics and advantages to the saxophone. Even tone throughout the registers, controlled altissimo, and a warm sound are some of the unique features of this reed. With a thicker heel and a long palette, more of the reeds is allowed to vibrate and results in a deeper, richer sound. The thicker tip can help with the longevity of the reed and give body to the attack.
