This horn isn't the prettiest we've had lately, but WOW is it a player. I know there is always hyperbole or advertising hype, but this horn seriously has it going from a sound perspective. It's fat with a lot of core, tons of power and is flexible enough to get brighter if needed. If I had extra income, this horn would be purchased at the above price by me!
This sax does come with some heavy cosmetic wear. About 75% of the original lacquer remains, the bow has some denting as well as the bottom of the body tube. There has been a couple of resolders. The neck is original to the horn and has a slight pull down that can easily be corrected, but it has never sustained any serious damage and is in overall very good condition. This sax was last overhauled in 1990 and the pads are still from that. It plays ok right now, but we would recommend a full overhaul for this thing as it really deserves it! You could get by with a setup for a little while though.
THE SOUND! The buyer that chooses to get this with an overhaul will not be sad.
